Range Analysis
The Range Analyzer is an effective tool to verify the performance of an existing FLARM installation. A regular verification is recommend to detect potential problems in time.
The analysis works with flight data recorded by FLARM (IGC files). Two methods are available: CARP and Classic. The functionality is described in our blog article. CARP is only available for PowerFLARM generation devices. The analysis provides a statistical statement about the reception range, based on operational data. It works better the more data is included. Depending on the situation, the analysis can significantly deviate from reality.
CARP – Continuous Analysis
Since CARP continuously updates the range estimation with each flight, it should be reset after the analysis. For PowerFLARM Core and Portable, this can be done using a configuration file. With Fusion, the reset can easily be done in FLARM Hub.
Classic
Use this method for older Classic Generation devices or to specifically evaluate the range for individual flights. Please select one to a maximum of 16 IGC files:
