Scoping improvements to “See and Avoid” for General Aviation initiated

EASA has mandated the Dutch NLR Air Transport Safety Institute NLR-ATSI, a consultancy and research organisation that develops and applies world-class knowledge and expertise to improve air transport safety, with an EUR 30k pre-study called SISA (EASA.E2.2011.C02). SISA stands for Scoping improvements to “See and Avoid” for General Aviation. On June 22, 2012, a workshop was held to gather the views of the GA community during an open discussion. The minutes give a good industry insight into this topic, namely on the role of Flarm and its way to a pragmatic success.
